Excuse me but I think you must have forgotten to mention the human rights activists, teachers, labor union representatives, environmentalists, consumer advocates etc.
These people were invited weren’t they? Surely they wouldn’t hold a conference without many of the most important participants in the economy and society!

Your message to God's ear. Apparently the only Being with any supposed "power" who is listening at this point.
I keep thinking of that song by Joni Mitchell about "paving paradise to put up a parking lot" though she doesn't mention the human carnage in that song. But I think of the US killing bulldozer when I think of those words.
On another blogsite someone asked me about the Tupperware company and I suggested that they came to provide the containers for pieces of the big Iraqi pie.
